FHHV HALLOWEEN FIREWORKS

The Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome are delighted to host Halloween Fireworks  at the Herne Hill Velodrome on Saturday 28th October 2023.

This historic and iconic South London venue is the last surviving facility from the 1948 Olympics. With hundreds of available seats and the banking of the track giving plenty of tiered vantage points, the Herne Hill Velodrome is the ideal venue for a fireworks display.

17.00: Gates open

17:45: Fancy Dress Competitio

18.00: Bonfire lit

18:20: Fire Eaters

19.00: Fireworks display

19:20 LED Dance Show

21.30: Event close

A wide variety of drinks and food stalls will be available.

Tickets are £11.50 and under 16s are £1 but must be accompanied by an adult.   Tickets are only available in advance.

The event is wheelchair accessible but please contact us (see below) ahead of time.

There will be no parking at the Velodrome and parking in the local area is limited. We recommend people walk, cycle or come by public transport. We are a short walk from Herne Hill, North Dulwich and West Dulwich train stations. Buses 3 & 201 to Croxted Road/Turney Road, 37 to Half Moon Lane/Burbage Road.

Also good to know:

  • Refunds will only be available if the event is cancelled
  • The Lost Child point is the ambulance as you come in on the right
  • Do not bring any alcohol/glass or food onto the site
  • Bring a physical ticket or proof on a mobile as evidence of purchase. It is one ticket per adult and you can transfer if you can't make it

The funds we raise are used to support the Velodrome and to promote cycling in the wider community. Recent initiatives include funding track sessions for Lewisham Foster Care and the development of Mountain Bike trails at the HHV to encourage younger kids to have fun getting active.
